TargeGen, Inc. Appoints Raymond J. Gibbons, M.D. To Scientific Advisory Board

San Diego, CA - Dec. 8, 2003 -TargeGen, Inc., a biotechnology company focusing on cardiovascular (ischemic) diseases and cancer, today announced the appointment of Ray Gibbons, M.D., to its Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr. Gibbons currently serves as The Arthur M. and Gladys D. Gary Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN) where he specializes in cardiovascular disease. Dr. Gibbons serves on the Editorial Boards of several major journals in the field of cardiovascular medicine and imaging. He has published more than 240 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Gibbons received his B.S.E. from Princeton University, M.Sc. from Oxford, and M.D. from Harvard Medical School. "We are extremely pleased to have someone of Dr. Gibbons's stature in the field of cardiovascular medicine join our Scientific Advisory Board," said Peter G. Ulrich, President and CEO of TargeGen.
