Arda joined WBCP full-time in 1998 after serving as an advisor to and director of several WBCP portfolio companies. Prior, Arda was a senior health care analyst at William Blair & Company. As head of the firm's health care research group, Arda covered several sectors, including drugs/drug delivery, medical devices and selected health care services. He was a Wall Street Journal "All-Star Analyst" in both medical device and pharmaceutical sectors. Selected current and past portfolio directorships include: Atherogenics, Inc., CryoCor, Inc., Cypress Medical Products, DJ Pharma, Inc., Inhibitex, Inc., Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals, NuVasive, Inc., PharmaResearch Corporation, POINT Biomedical, Proteome, Inc., and ZYCOS, Inc. Arda received an MS (Pharmacology) from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. and an MBA from University of British Colombia, and was a post-doctoral fellow in pharmacology at University of Washington Medical School.
