Dr. Peter Bissinger is a founding General Partner of Innovis Investments LLC, a fund focusing on private and micro-cap public companies in Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare. Dr. Bissinger has served in a wide range of research and executive roles in the biotech and healthcare industry for over 20 years and has been responsible for investments in more than 25 companies. Before joining Innovis Investments he was the Managing Director of the Novartis BioVenture Fund and worked in Technology Acquisition and Licensing for Novartis since 1998. He previously headed the Applied Microbiology Section of IMA, a semi-commercial R&D Institute of the National Science & Technology Board of Singapore, and was a senior research manager at Burns Philp Ltd. and AgResearch Ltd.

Dr. Bissinger earned his Ph.D. in biology and genetics from the University of Vienna and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Whitehead Institute of Biomedical Sciences / MIT between 1988 and 1990. He received his MBA from Rutgers University, New Jersey.

Dr. Bissinger has served on the board of directors of several biotech companies including, Arizeke Pharmaceuticals, Catalyst Biosciences, Eragen Biosciences, Kalypsys Inc. and Sagres Discovery, Inc.
